There are many ways to approach such an exploration, but this is the one we prefer. It will reveal your jumping-off point, which steps you can take and what it will bring you in the end. This process is not necessarily linear, but halfway through (in the middle of the map) it allows you to draw conclusions about what you have learned so far and how you can use that input moving on to the second half. You then try out possible solutions and see what works and what doesn’t. All of the learnings, evidence and ideas are then wrapped up in an approach. With this, you can create a business case to convince your stakeholders and move on to launching a first version of your innovation.
